Een klant die Nederlands spreekt maar internationaal verzendt, wil zijn orderbevestiging in het Nederlands en een pakbon in het Engels voor de douane. Klinkt als een conflict — in Odoo is het gewoon een instelling.
Meertaligheid activeren
Eerst moet u de talen installeren die u wil ondersteunen: Instellingen → Talen → Activeren. Odoo vertaalt dan standaard templates automatisch mee.
Taal per klant
Op de klantfiche is er een veld Language. Vul hier Nederlands (nl_NL) in. Offertes, orderbevestigingen en facturen naar deze klant worden dan in het Nederlands gegenereerd.
Pakbon in andere taal
De pakbon (delivery slip) is een ander template en kan los worden aangestuurd. Op de levering (stock.picking): klik op Print → dropdown → kies een alternatieve taal. Of maak een custom rapport dat altijd Engels gebruikt voor buitenlandse leveringen.
Producten meertalig
Vergeet niet uw productnamen en -beschrijvingen te vertalen. Open het product, klik op het vlagje naast Name en vul per taal een vertaling in. Anders blijven buitenlandse PDF's alsnog Nederlandse productnamen tonen.

Enabling multilingual support
First you need to install the languages you want to support: Settings → Languages → Activate. Odoo then automatically translates the standard templates along with it.
Language per customer
On the customer record there is a Language field. Enter Dutch (nl_NL) here. Quotes, order confirmations and invoices to this customer are then generated in Dutch.
Packing slip in another language
The packing slip (delivery slip) is a different template and can be controlled separately. On the delivery (stock.picking): click Print → dropdown → choose an alternative language. Or create a custom report that always uses English for foreign deliveries.
Multilingual products
Don't forget to translate your product names and descriptions. Open the product, click the little flag next to Name and enter a translation for each language. Otherwise, foreign PDFs will still show Dutch product names.
